A plane landed Monday evening on Highway 280 in Lee County, shutting down one lane of traffic, authorities said.
No injuries were reported when the plane landed safely, blocking the right westbound lane of U.S. 280 near the 117-mile marker, said Sgt. Jeremy Burkett with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Authorities did not say how long they envision the lane to be closed for.
State troopers are on the scene “and will continue to monitor the situation and provide accordingly,” Burkett said.
