HAMILTON – The BalletCNJ ballet school was named the winner of the Outstanding School Award by Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), the world’s largest non-profit student ballet competition and scholarship progam.
The award highlights BalletCNJ’s mission to providing top quality ballet education to students in the central New Jersey area.
“We are so honored for this recognition,” said school director Thiago Silva in a press release. “We could not be more proud of the wonderful community we have created.”
The Outstanding School Award is given in recognition of a school’s body of work and students’ performances. It is part of a special group of awards presented by YAGP at the semi-finals every year.
“We dedicate this to our students and families,” said artistic director Alexander Dutko. “It means a lot to us. Especially after the pandemic, this means we’re stronger than ever.”
