TRENTON – The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Friday evening in Trenton, according to multiple news sources.
Trenton police were alerted to gunfire in the area of Oakland and Hoffman Street at approximately 8:42 p.m. on Friday. Officers observed the victim’s vehicle drive away from the location of the shooting, lose control, and hit several parked cars in the area of 524 Hoffman Avenue. As police began administering aid, they observed that he suffered from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim, identified as Sherief Treadwell, 36, of Trenton, was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
