The smoky haze from Canadian wildfires that has hovered over New Jersey is causing scheduling changes to the end of the high school sports season.
The NJSIAA Track & Field Championships, originally scheduled to be held on Friday and Saturday, will now take place over one day on Saturday. The meet locations remain the same — Groups I, IV and Non-Public A at Franklin High and Groups II, III and Non-Public B at Delsea High — but events at both sites will get underway at 9:30 a.m.
The Meet of Champions remains on track for Wednesday, June 14 at Franklin High.
