MOUNT LAUREL – Samaritan has announced that two new executives have joined the not-for-profit organization’s leadership team. Robert Curatola of Hammonton has been named Chief Financial Officer, and Mark Biancaniello of Blackwood has been named Senior Vice President of Human Resources.

“We are proud to welcome these two experienced professionals and experts in their respective fields to our leadership team,” said Phillip W. Heath, president and CEO of Samaritan. “Both Robert and Mark’s experience in healthcare and strong ties to our local communities will help support Samaritan’s continued growth as we work to expand our services to meet the needs of the local communities we serve.”

Curatola comes to Samaritan with almost four decades of healthcare finance experience, specifically in hospital Medicare reimbursement. He most recently served as interim president and CEO at CAMcare, where he was responsible for ensuring primary healthcare services to 39,000 patients in Camden and Gloucester Counties. As Chief Financial Officer at Samaritan, Curatola is responsible for overseeing all of the organization’s financial functions including strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting and revenue cycle. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and master’s degree in corporate finance from Drexel University.

With more than 30 years of experience as a senior human resources leader with a deep understanding of labor and employment law, Biancaniello, J.D., SHRM-SCP, has worked in the hospice and homecare, long-term care, not-for-profit healthcare, retail and hospitality industries. Throughout his career, he has designed several management development classes on a variety of topics including preventing harassment in the workplace, which he will bring to Samaritan. As Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Samaritan, Biancaniello oversees all aspects of recruitment, retention, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations and staff development. He holds a master’s degree from Drexel University and a J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law.
