The El Paso County Sheriff on Monday was investigating a police shooting northeast of downtown Colorado Springs during a domestic disturbance Sunday afternoon that left a suspect hospitalized.
Police went to a home on North Foote Avenue and found a suspect hiding inside, according to Colorado Springs Police Department postings on Twitter. The police ordered the suspect to surrender, and used a taser to try to subdue the suspect, police said.

At one point in this encounter with the suspect, at least one CSPD Officer fired at least one round striking the suspect,β the police said.
